Lists On Lists On Lists: 2013 College Football Award Watch Lists

How many trophies can Jadeveon Clowney win?

Instead of having a ton of mini-posts on each award watch list, here are the big ones all in one post: the Maxwell, Bednarik, Nagurski, Biletnikoff, O’Brien, Walker and Camp trophies.

First up is the Maxwell Award, given to the overall player of the year – position is irrelevant. The highlights are Johnny Manziel, Braxton Miller, Marqise Lee, DeAnthony Thomas, T.J. Yeldon and many more.

The Biletnikoff Award for the best collegiate wide receiver went to USC’s Marqise Lee last year, probably because he is an exceptional talent and every pass last season was thrown at him. He has a great chance to repeat as winner but it seems unlikely.

The Davey O’Brien Award goes to the best collegiate quarterback. It’s kind of like the Heisman, but only for quarterbacks. So it’s almost exactly like the Heisman. Just not as good.
